Context

Abvius is a modular SaaS ERP built exclusively for NGOs: multi-framework accounting, multi-donor allocation, payroll, MEAL, timesheets. New organisations join the platform regularly, and each one needs a chart of accounts adapted to its accounting framework, its donors and its analytical structure. We are looking for two chartered accountants who know the sector to set up the charts of accounts of the organisations we support, and to make sure these settings are right from the start.

Expected deliverables

  • Set up the chart of accounts of each new incoming organisation: accounts, accounting framework, analytical axes, restricted funds, allocation by donor.
  • Lead scoping discussions with NGO finance teams (CFOs, finance managers) to gather their needs and constraints.
  • Review and adjust existing settings when an organisation evolves (new donor, new project, change of accounting framework).
  • Document each set-up so that it is readable by the team and by auditors.
  • Report the business needs identified during the work (possible product improvements).

Success indicators

  • Each new organisation has an operational chart of accounts within the agreed timeframe.
  • No set-up error is reported by our partners or their auditors.
  • Set-ups are documented and easily picked up by the other expert or by the team.
  • Collaboration runs smoothly: availability on agreed time slots, actionable reports.

Skills we are looking for

  • French chartered accountancy diploma (DEC), or senior finance profile with consulting experience for NGOs.
  • Design and set-up of charts of accounts, ideally in an ERP or accounting software.
  • Non-profit accounting: ANC regulation 2018-06, CER, restricted funds.
  • Donor requirements (AFD, ECHO, EU, foundations): eligibility, co-financing, analytical allocation, audits.
  • Confident speaker, able to explain clearly to CFOs.
  • Professional English (mandatory), SYCEBNL/OHADA or foreign frameworks, a taste for digital tools.
